• Bio

Joanna was a core trainer for her Local Safeguarding Children Partnership for 15 years, and also goes into individual schools to deliver child protection training. Joanna works with schools when an allegation has been made about a staff member that does not meet a criminal threshold, or it is an allegation of historical abuse and the victim wants to remain anonymous.

She undertakes the assessment of that individual. She also undertakes safeguarding cultural reviews for schools, following on from #Everyone’s Invited, and safeguarding audits.

Joanna is a safeguarding advisor to a group of preparatory schools and a governor of her local primary school. Joanna also leads child safeguarding practice reviews, which often involve education.
